Professional Qualifications

A detail-oriented advisor and litigator, Ms. Yu supports clients with compliance and regulatory matters in the fields of employment and retail trade regulation law. Ms. Yu, raised by small business owners, is keenly aware of the challenges that businesses face. She draws on this experience to provide businesses and employers with practical and effective guidance. 

Ms. Yu is a former Rogers Joseph O’Donnell 2023 summer associate and a previous legal extern for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office. Before joining the firm, Ms. Yu served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Samuel K. Feng of the Superior Court of California. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Yu worked as a field representative and staff assistant for Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo, gaining valuable experience in the inner workings of the government. 

Ms. Yu earned her J.D. from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in political science and communication arts and sciences from Pennsylvania State University. While in law school, she was a member of the Women’s Law Society and Hastings’ Moot Court, where her team won second place for best brief during a state-wide competition. 

Outside of the office, Ms. Yu loves to spend time with her dog, her friends and her family, particularly at the beach. She also enjoys going vintage shopping and listening to Taylor Swift. Ms. Yu is fluent in Mandarin.
