Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Equal opportunity has been a core value at Rogers Joseph O’Donnell since our founding. We remain committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. We recognize that individuals representing diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives enhance our working environment and improve the quality of service to our clients.

Since talent is not limited by age, disability, gender, gender identity, national origin, religious belief or sexual orientation, we find that we attract the most exceptional individuals when we seek talent from the entire spectrum of the greater world in which we live. Our commitment to equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion is not solely focused on our recruitment efforts but also extends to the retention and advancement of our colleagues.

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell emphasizes a culture of mutual respect and inclusion at all levels within the firm and we pride ourselves in providing our staff and attorneys with the opportunity for professional development and advancement. All attorneys at RJO serve on committees of importance to the firm, and we strive to ensure that women, minorities and members of the LGBTQ+ community are well-represented in management and leadership positions.

The firm participates in professional and community activities that promote diversity, tolerance, inclusion, and equality, as well as initiatives to increase the pipeline of diverse individuals entering the field of law.

Rogers Joseph O’Donnell is a member of the 2024-25 midsize cohort of Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule Certification process. The Mansfield Rule for Midsize Firms program focuses on measurable goals, as well as collaboration with other participating law firms who share RJO’s values for promoting a more inclusive legal industry. Mansfield is a year-long structured certification process designed to ensure all attorneys at participating law firms have a transparent, fair and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership. If you are interested in learning more about Mansfield or RJO’s participation, please contact Alecia Cotton, shareholder and DEI committee chair.
