Considered one of the country’s leading cyber lawyers for government contractors, Metzger has represented leading corporations such as Microsoft and five of the top 20 aerospace and defense companies in their highest-profile contracts, disputes, compliance audits and bid protests.
Washington Technology has noted that Metzger is “considered by many to be the father of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification,” which governs how contractors and subcontractors must secure sensitive defense information. His work, including his contributions to the Defense Science Board task force and MITRE’s “Deliver Uncompromised” report, has helped to shape government contracting cyber and supply chain security policies.
