Stephen Bacon and Emily Murphy Recognized in 2024 Benchmark Litigation U.S. 40 & Under List

Prestigious global law firm guide Benchmark Litigation has named Rogers Joseph O’Donnell P.C. shareholders Stephen L. Bacon and Emily A. Murphy to its 2024 U.S. 40 & Under List. The ninth edition of the list highlights some of the country’s most accomplished litigators under 40 based on their work over the past year.

Bacon has vast experience helping contractors navigate complex compliance issues and prevent and resolve disputes. His work focuses on government contract-related controversies and also includes construction matters and other commercial contract disputes. Prior to joining RJO, Bacon served as a Trial Attorney for the Navy where he was responsible for defending claims against the government. In his current practice, he represents contractors in a variety of matters, including constructive change claims, terminations, high-stakes bid protests, investigations and suspension and debarment proceedings.

Murphy has extensive experience representing business clients from varied industries in litigation matters. She represents employers in connection with a wide variety of employment and labor issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. She also has a wide array of civil litigation experience representing retailers and manufacturers in consumer products litigation and class actions. Murphy has handled a significant number of complex cases and class actions from inception through trial and successfully defended corporations in the California Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals, and Federal District Courts.
