Prestigious global law firm guide Benchmark Litigation has named Rogers Joseph O’Donnell P.C. shareholders Stephen L. Bacon and Emily A. Murphy to its 2024 U.S. 40 & Under List. Bacon has vast experience helping contractors navigate complex compliance issues and prevent and resolve disputes. His work focuses on government contract-related controversies and also includes construction matters and other commercial contract disputes. Prior to joining RJO, Bacon served as a Trial Attorney for the Navy where he was responsible for defending claims against the government. In his current practice, he represents contractors in a variety of matters, including constructive change claims, terminations, high-stakes bid protests, investigations and suspension and debarment proceedings.
Murphy has extensive experience representing business clients from varied industries in litigation matters. She represents employers in connection with a wide variety of employment and labor issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. She also has a wide array of civil litigation experience representing retailers and manufacturers in consumer products litigation and class actions. Murphy has handled a significant number of complex cases and class actions from inception through trial and successfully defended corporations in the California Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals, and Federal District Courts.
